Joanna Lamb, January 2023

This exhibition is a series of new screen prints depicting intimate views in and around the home. The works although devoid of the people who inhabit the spaces, still record their presence. This is evident in the way a garden is tended, or a vase of flowers is arranged. What is left out of the image is just as important as what is left in. The process of screen printing naturally lends itself to this idea of presence and absence, through the reduction of a view and a carefully considered arrangement of colour, shape and composition.
